Vermont Vehicle Power of Attorney Form

The Vermont vehicle power of attorney form is a legal document that is provided to designate indefinite powers to an Agent. The powers would be authorized so that the Agent may act on behalf of a Principal with regard to sales, purchases or paper transactions pertaining to motor vehicles, trailers and any related duties. The document must be acknowledged before a notary. The document may be revoked at the discretion of the Principal by placing the revocation in writing and delivering or serving it to to the Agent.

How to Write

Step 1 – The Parties – Enter:

  • Company or Individual’s name
  • Agent’s name
  • Signature of authorized officer, company or individual
  • If the powers document is in the name of an individual, enter the individual’s date of birth in mm/dd/yyyy format

Step 2 – Notarization –

  • A Notary Public must complete the document with the required information necessary to acknowledge the powers granted

Step 3 – Vehicle Document – Enclosed:

  • A document that would be completed by an inspection specialist
