New Jersey Vehicle Power of Attorney Form | |
The New Jersey vehicle power of attorney form is a document that will allow a Principal to grant powers to an Agent of their choice to act on behalf of the Principal to legally attend to the sale, purchase and/or any vehicle transactions required.
The Principal may revoke this document at any time by placing the notice into writing and serving it to the Agent. This document must be signed before a notary public.
How to Write
Step 1 – Agent or Company Information – Enter:
- The name of the company or Agent
- The Agent’s mailing address
- City, State, Zip Code
- If the mailing address is a PO box, enter the street address
- Federal Taxpayer ID Number
- Phone Number
- Business Description
- Agent or Company is authorized for the following motor vehicle business:
- Request corpcode
- Title vehicle
- Register vehicle
Step 2 – Agent Delegation –
Enter the name of the Agent to whom powers are granted:
- Printed or Typed Name
Relationship to Company (must be a company employee)
Step 3 –Vehicle Information -If the Agent will Title or Register the Vehicle, enter the following information:
- Vehicle type
- Make
- Model
- Year of vehicle
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Hull ID Number (HIN)
- Insurance Company Name
- Policy Number
- Phone Number
Step 4 – Title of Company Official authorizing Powers:
- Print the name of the Company or Agent
- Title (if any)
Step 5 – Notarization –
- Enter the Company’s Official Signature
- Date the Signature in mm/dd/yyyy format
- Driver License
- State of Issuance
The notary public shall then complete the document and affix the state seal in acknowledgement of the validity of the document
