Kansas Vehicle Power of Attorney Form

The Kansas vehicle power of attorney form is a legal document providing written permission to an Agent of their choice, to provide assistance with the application of title and /or registration. This document will also allow the Agent to transfer title if the Agent is selling a vehicle on behalf of the Principal.

This document does not require notarization. The document may be revoked at any time that the Principal would like to end the powers granted by placing a revocation notice into writing and delivering it to the Agent to inform them that their powers are no longer effective.

How to Write

Step 1 – Parties – Provide the following:

  • The Principal must enter the name of the Agent in the first line of the document

Step 2 – Vehicle Description – Enter:

  • The year
  • Make
  • Style
  • Enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN/ID Number)

Step 3 – Lien Holders – Provide the name(s) of the Lien Holders:

  • 1st Lien Holder
  • 2nd Lien Holder

Step 4 – Signature – The Principal must enter:

  • Type or Printed (by hand) Name of the Principal
  • Signature of the Principal
  • Date when the Principal’s signature has been applied in mm/dd/yyyy format
