Virginia General Financial Power of Attorney Form | |
The Virginia general financial power of attorney form is a legal document that will permit a Principal to transfer all powers to their selected Agent who shall immediately assume complete control and responsibility for of the Principal’s bank and other financial accounts. Any personal and real property; permission to do all management and transactions, entirely.
The Principal may wish to consult with a knowledgeable attorney prior to completion of the document to ensure complete understanding or receive legal assistance with it’s completion. The powers document must be witnessed and acknowledged by a notary. The document may be revoked at any time the Principal should decide it’s necessary.
How to Write
Step 1 – The Parties – Enter:
- Principal’s name
- City of residence
- AND
- Agent’s name
- City of residence
- AND
- Commencement date in mm/dd/yyyy format
- Termination date in mm/dd/yyyy format
Step 2 – Detailed Powers – Review:
- Principal must review all information provided in paragraphs 1 through 19.
- Note – The powers document shall terminate automatically, should the Principal become disabled
- Enter the date of execution of the document in dd/mm/yy format
- Submit Principal’s signature in witness of a notary
Step 3 – Notary Witness –
- Once the notary has witnessed the signature of the Principal, they shall complete the required information to acknowledge the validity of the information contained within
