Washington Real Estate ONLY Power of Attorney Form

The Washington real estate only power of attorney form is a document that a would be completed so that an Agent would have the ability to act on behalf of a Principal owner of real property. The form will allow the Agent to sell, negotiate, convey or contract to do so, perform transactions and other tasks. Signatures are necessary in order that the document would be effective. The document must be witnessed. Revocation is available to the Principal at their discretion.

How to Write

Step 1 – Return To –

  • Submit a name and address to whom the document must be returned once recorded

Step 2 – Special Powers to Sell – Enter the following:

  • Principal’s name
  • AND
  • Appointed Agent’s name
  • Provide a written description of the property
  • OR
  • Provide an abbreviated legal description of the property
  • Submit the Tax Parcel Number(s)

Step 3 – Termination of Powers –

  • Review the remainder of the information
  • Submit the termination date in dd/mm/yyyy format (within six months of the beginning date of the document)

Step 4 – Signatures – Must be witnessed:

  • Date the signatures in mm/dd/yyyy format
  • Submit Principal’s signature
  • AND
  • Agent’s signature

Step 5 – Notarization –

  • Notary shall witness signatures
  • AND
  • Shall complete the remainder of the document in acknowledgement
