Nevada Vehicle Power of Attorney Form | |
The Nevada vehicle power of attorney form is a document that is utilized by a Principal to provide written permission for a designated Agent to act on behalf of the Principal regarding the sale, purchase or transactions with the Principal’s motor vehicle. The Agent will be acting in the absence of the Principal and must treat any transactions as if the Principal were present to transact any of their business on their own.
This form must be signed before a licensed Notary Public. The document may be revoked at any time that the Principal decides is best, with written, delivered notice to the Agent.
How to Write
Step 1 – Tax Year –
- Begin by entering the current tax year at the top of the document
Step 2 – Principal’s Information –Enter the Principal’s/Dealer’s information as follows:
- Motor Carrier Account Number
- Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN)
- Full Legal Name
- Doing Business As (enter the name of the business)
- Address
- Telephone Number
- Fax Number
- Enter the name of the person(s) who shall receive notices by checking one of the following:
- Registrant/Taxpayer
- Authorized Agent
- OR
- Both
Step 2 – Designate an Agent – Enter the following Agent information:
- Name of the Authorized Agent
- Agent’s full Address
- Agent’s Telephone Number
- Fax Number
- Read the remaining two (2) paragraphs
Step 3 – Principal’s Signature – Only to be signed before a notary to be effective – Submit the following information:
- Authorized Registrant/Taxpayer signature (Required)
- Date (Required) in mm/dd/yyyy format
- Printed Full Legal name and title (Required)
- Date of signature in mm/dd/yyyy format – (Required)
- Signature of Notary or Authorized DMV Representative(Required)
- Date of signature in mm/dd/yyyy format (Required)
Step 4 – Copies –
- Photo copies are not acceptable, therefore the Principal must retain the original and allow the Agent to possess the document until the act is complete or revocation is implemented
