Colorado power of attorney, as described in part 7 of article 14 of title 15, Colorado Revised Statutes (Colorado Uniform Power of Attorney Act), allows an individual (the Principal) to designate a person of their choosing (the Attorney In Fact or Agent) to to make decisions and act with respect to the property (including money) of the Principal, whether or not they are able to act in their own interest. The need for this document is usually monetary or medical, however, examples of other needs may be related to vehicles, care of minor children or taxpayer representation.
