Louisiana Real Estate ONLY Power of Attorney Form | |
The Louisiana real estate ONLY power of attorney form is a legal document that is provided by a Principal owner of real property, granting powers to delegate an Agent to manage, refinance, sell or purchase the real property on behalf of a Principal in their absence or should they become ill. The document will not grant other financial powers, nor will it include powers to make medical decisions on behalf of the Principal.
This document must be signed before a Notary Public. The Principal may revoke this document at any time.
How to Write
Step 1 – Download the document – Submit the following information while in the presence of a notary:
- Enter the state (Louisiana)
- Enter the name of the County where the document shall be executed
- Enter the date of the execution of the document
Step – 2 – Witnesses – Enter:
- The printed names of the witnesses
- Provide the Parish/County of the witnesses
- Enter the state
- Enter the respective physical addresses of each witness
Step – 3 – Agent –
- Enter the Agent’s name
- The Principal must read the remainder of the section
- A legal description must be attached to this document, the Principal must check the applicable box
- Read the remainder of the document
- The Principal must provide their initials on the bottom right of the page
Step – 4 – Signatures –
- Enter the Witnesses Signatures (OPTIONAL)
- AND
- Enter the signature of the Principal
Step – 5 – Notarization –
- After the completion of the document and the witnessing of signatures and initials, the Notary shall complete the remainder of the document with their notary information and shall affix the notary public’s seal.
