Michigan Limited (Special) Power of Attorney Form | |
The Michigan limited (special) power of attorney form is used when a specific task or responsibility is to be bestowed on the Attorney-in-Fact by the Principal. This form is commonly employed with an end date in mind, or with the intent of cancellation should the task be completed. Due to the non-durable nature of a limited power of attorney, should the Principal become incapacitated, the document will no longer be legally binding. However, in accordance with the Michigan legislature surrounding a durable power of attorney, this document must be signed in the presence of a Notary Public or two witnesses (700.5501).
