West Virginia Real Estate ONLY Power of Attorney Form | |
The West Virginia real estate only power of attorney form is a legal document that permits a Principal to allow an Agent to act on their behalf to manage, refinance, purchase, sell and complete any transactions pertaining to their real property. The document generally commences on the date the document is executed and shall terminate once the act(s) is/are complete(ed). The document must be notarized. This document may be revoked at any time the Principal is prepared to do so.
How to Write
Step 1 – The Parties – Enter the following:
- The full name of the Principal
- Address
- City
- State
- AND
- Full name of the appointed Agent
- Address
- City
- State
Step 2 – Assignment of Authority –
- Check and initial any or all of the boxes that would best indicate the powers the Principal would care to authorize
Step 3 – Term – Provide the following information:
- Initial and check the box that would best indicate the Principal’s preference with regard to the term of the document
Step 4 – Signatures –
- Date the signatures in dd/m/yy format
- Principal’s signature
- Printed name
- AND
- Agent’s signature
- Printed name
Witnesses –
- Both Witnesses must review and agree to the affirmation statements
- Each witness must enter their name
- Respective signatures
- Printed names
Notarization –
- Notary shall witness all signatures
- Notary shall acknowledge the document by completion of the remainder of the document
