Hawaii Vehicle Power of Attorney Form | |
The Hawaii vehicle power of attorney form is a document that will allow any person who owns a vehicle within the State of Hawaii, (the Principal) to choose anyone they wish (as Attorney In Fact/Agent) to assist in obtaining registration, transference of title or any other action required to be carried out at a Driver’s License Office within the state. This document works in accordance with Hawaii State Laws Chapter 551D – (The Hawaii Uniform Power of Attorney Act) and will be honored within it’s revisions. This document will require that signatures are witnessed by a notary public and will require notarization to be accepted.
How To Write
Step 1 – Download the form and begin by providing the following information:
- Signature of Principal(s)
- Name of appointed Attorney In Fact/Agent
Step 2 – In the next line provided on the form, type or write the specific powers you will grant to your Agent.
- If more room is required, add a sheet, continue your instructions and attach to the form
Step 3 – Grating of Powers to Agent – The Principal(s) must carefully read the paragraph provided with regard to “giving and grating” powers to your selected agent. The Principal(s) will then provide the following:
- Signature of Principal(s)
- Name of Attorney In Fact/Agent
Step 4 – Notarization – The remainder of the form must be completed as required by law in the state of Hawaii and their state seal must be affixed.
Step 5 – Make copies of this document for your records and provide the original to your Attorney In Fact/Agent
- This document may be revoked at any time by placing revocation in writing and delivering it to your Attorney In Fact/Agent as notification
