North Carolina Vehicle Power of Attorney Form | |
The North Carolina vehicle power of attorney form is a legal document that is designed for use by a Principal to authorize an Agent to have the ability to purchase, sell and/or transact any sale, titling, registration, inspections, applications for new titles or anything that the involves business transactions with regard to the Principal’s motor vehicle(s). This powers document will remain in effect until the act is completed.
This document will require signatures to be witnessed by a Notary Public. The document may be revoked at any time, in writing and by service or delivery to the Agent.
How to Write
Step 1 – Principal –
- Enter the name of the Principal (owner of the vehicle)
Step 2 – Vehicle Information – Enter the following information in the fields provided as follows:
- Make
- Motor Type
- Year Built
- Type
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Year Built
- Model
- Enter the name of the Attorney In Fact/ Agent
Step 3 – Signatures – Must be signed before a notary only –
- Enter the date of the signature in dd/mm/yyyy format
- Enter the Principal’s (owner) full named signature
Notarization –
After the Notary has witnessed the Principal’s signature, the Notary Public will provide all of the state required information that shall acknowledge the document.
